Summary:

The Production Control and Logistics (PC&L) interns in Aptiv’s Connection Systems (CS) segment will get a mixture of hands on Projects, Data Analysis, and computer work. Connection Systems interns are provided valuable assignments and work alongside experienced Production Control employees to gain a real world experience in Customer/Supplier Requirements to analyze plant impacts, trends, decision making as well as executive summaries. All specific assignment details will be identified and shared with the intern prior to their start date and will be aligned with their field of study. We strive to provide the best internship experience possible and each intern will be treated as a valuable, contributing team member.

Expected areas of Internship support:

• Utilize SAP data, bill of materials, inventory, revenue to construct reports to support the Connection Systems plants in North America
• Analyze data and develop a problem solving analysis with Production Control teams in the Operations
• Partner with the Plant teams provide initiatives and projects to improve Production Control Metrics
• Collaborate among teams (Production, Control Chain, Logistics) to create data analysis for improvements in the Operations
• Gain experience using SAP
• Other experience gained in interaction with PCL teams with procurement, scheduling, SAP Master data

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Rising Junior or Senior status in Supply Chain, Systems Engineering, IE
• Min 3.0 GPA
• Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
• Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience with SAP, MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing plant processes
• Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology
• Previous internship experience in any supply chain or logistics related fields
