The Human Resources Global Benefits Internship provides the opportunity to make an impact on the company by working on critical business needs and hands-on projects while also being able to grow professionally through challenging assignments, personal coaching/mentoring, and networking opportunities with other interns and HR teams cross-functionally.

The summer internship provides a deep dive into what it is like to be a true HR professional at a passionate, challenging, and innovative company. The internship is project-based providing experience both on larger ongoing projects as well as shorter-scale projects throughout the summer that align with our business objectives. Throughout the internship, there will opportunities to learn about what influences Benefit program offerings, and what is required to provide Employee Benefits, for a growing, global organization.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program during the time of the internship
• Desired Class Level : This internship is open to all students with graduation dates of 2024 - 2027.
• Desired majors: Business Management and Administration (Human Resources, Organizational Learning and Development, Finance, Accounting, etc...).
• Experience : Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail experience preferred
• Key Competencies for Success in the Role : Ability to build relationships, results oriented, energetic, resourceful, positive “can do” attitude, continually striving for excellence. Able to quickly pivot and re-prioritize in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Summer Internship - May - August 2024
• Location : This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Interns in hybrid roles are expected to work from the 1-2 days a week (determined by leadership/site).

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN / GAIN:

• As an HR Intern you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Snowflake’s culture as well as the opportunity to work with a global team.
• You will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the global HR Organization.
• Throughout your internship, you will work within our Global Benefits team to successfully complete numerous projects, learn Snowflake’s vendor management process and procedures, and develop your knowledge of group benefit plans, including regulatory compliance.

TIMING:

• The ideal candidate would be able to work approximately 30-40 hours per week and be available to start in late May/early June, dependent on the candidate’s school schedule.
• Proposed start date: April 29, 2024, May 14, 2024 or June 10, 2024.
• Internship end date: August 2, 2024, August 16, 2024 or August 30, 2024.

POSSIBLE TEAMS / WORK FOCUS AREAS: (if applicable)

• Work with the global benefits team to complete various projects, including research, analysis and administrative tasks.
• Shadow teammates by participating in meetings, events, and activities as needed.
• Strengthen your knowledge of the insurance industry, and regulatory compliance involving managing employee benefit plans globally.
• Support communication campaign efforts (e.g. Intern benefit summaries, “Benefits Blog”, etc...)
• Assist with the maintenance and enhancements of the employee benefits website
• Assist in the creation of Power Point presentations
• Assist in plan auditing to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Contribute to the improvement and documentation of workflows and processes
• Complete an end of internship project and case study based on your interests, culminating in a presentation to the Global Benefits team and other HR team members.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
