About the Position: This is a permanent position in the Major and Secondary Item Planning and Analysis Branch of the Supply Chain Management Directorate.

Job Description

• Oversee a moderate size team of personnel and provides advice, guidance, and expertise in maintaining fully operational system applications, systems, logic, and tools.
• Periodically review the position structure of the supervised workgroup to ensure an optimum balance between economy, efficiency, and skill utilization.
• Manage the team in investigating trends in performance to identify the root cause(s) of repeated/patterned issues.
• Provide resolutions to strategic/multi-pronged complex problems that arise with Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Vantage.
• Evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of major new logistics support missions and programs.
• Utilize supply expertise to advise the staff on evaluating, analyzing, interpreting, and developing logistics management regulations, policies, and instructions.
• Represent the Organization and/or Command on panels, work groups, and conferences, presenting technical briefings relative to the area of assignment.
• Review staff documents and briefs for accuracy, proper format, and appropriate content and provides corrections and/or alternate solutions.
• Make decisions on complex technical supply problems presented by subordinate staff members.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) leveraging planning and/or budgeting processes, procedures, policies, and regulations related to various funds like Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) and/or Operation Maintenance Army (OMA), to support the supply mission; 2) identifying and/or mitigating risks to fiscal plans and the downstream supply and readiness impacts; 3) generating and/or tracking execution plans while performing corresponding funding actions within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP); and 4) Partnering with various stakeholders, such as internal and external teams and organizations, to effectively lead enterprise-wide supply processes and/or initiatives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).

The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness.
