    We have an exciting HYBRID opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa! The Department of Human Servces (DHS) Contact Center is the primary point of contact for general consumer healthcare questions, including understanding of health care programs, eligibility requirements and information on how to apply for coverage.

    The project office is located in the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) facility in Des Moines, Iowa. MAXIMUS staffs the contact center with professional, well-trained personnel who quickly and accurately respond to callers, providing information and gathering demographic information about callers when necessary, while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

    Job Description Summary

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Project Director with the day-to-day running of the core functional areas to ensure compliance with the prime contract, all subsequent amendments, program business rules, as well as, state and federal regulations.
    • Assist the Project Director in his/her efforts to facilitate a functional, motivated, and cohesive project team.
    • Ensure all outreach, education and enrollment services are effectively and efficiently delivered throughout client coverage area.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with the client and other key stakeholders including DOH employees, state agencies, counties, health plans, community agencies, stakeholders and subcontractors.
    • Facilitate communication and resolution on all pertinent contract matters, operational changes, and applicable corrective and preventive actions.
    • Direct supervision of key Project staff as determined by the Project Director.
    • Work with the Project Director to develop performance goals and objectives for the project and staff, and monitor the achievement of those goals.
    • Assist in creation and implementation of innovative methodologies to continually streamline and improve project operations and outcomes.
    • Ensure project stays within budget, meets its financial performance goals, and meets all agreed upon timelines and work plans.
    • Work closely with members of the Senior Management team in support of performance objectives related to the Quality Management System.
    • Ensure compliance with MAXIMUS standards and procedures for project operations.
    • Meet all standards and performance criteria established for this position.
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of project management experience.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • 5 years of supervisory experience.
    • Strong client relationship management experience.
    • Background with managing metrics/KPIs/SLAs.
    • Budgetary experience.
    • Health or Human Services Industry experience strongly preferred.
    • Call Center experience preferred.

    Pay Transparency

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
