    About the Role

    The Attorney Recruitment & Development Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Attorney Development team and will be responsible for providing support to both the Attorney Recruitment and the Attorney Development teams by organizing and expediting workflow in connection with all phases of attorney recruitment and development processes, while assisting the Attorney Recruitment and Attorney Development Departments with the coordination and execution of all attorney development, onboarding, training, and integration efforts in the office. This role will be located in our Houston office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Other key responsibilities include:

    • Assisting with all phases of the recruitment process including new hires and summer associates
    • Assisting the team with LawCruit functions related to the profiles and statuses of all recruits.
    • Providing support on various management committees including Recruiting, Associates, TACE, Pro Bono, Mentoring, and our various local Affinity Groups
    • Assisting with Fall recruitment on-campus cultivation, including attending local law school events
    • Assisting with office activities, corporate gatherings, and associate mentoring program and staffing
    • Providing support with data reporting following recruitment season
    • Assisting with the coordination of Texas Continuing Legal Education credit and the annual compliance period for Texas Barred lawyers at the firm

    We’d love to hear from you if you:

    • Display the ability to develop knowledge of firm policies and procedures
    • Cultivate and maintain a courteous, professional, and effective working relationship with vendors and other representatives of external organizations
    • Exhibit the organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines

    And have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree
    • Knowledge and proficiency in PC Applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and other programs necessary to complete thorough analyses, reports, and presentations

    USD $60,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
