Feeding the herd (we have a run-in barn! Grain goes into the buckets and horses walk themselves to their stalls)
Mucking the barn (there will not be much to muck as all our horses live outside 24/7 and only come in for meals or to work that day)
Checking/Cleaning and filling water troughs and making sure the automatic waters are working (reporting to the manager if they are not)
Turning out horses to the appropriate paddocks and pastures for the day (change gates and then open the stalls so the horses can take themselves down to the paddocks or pastures for that day)
Minor wound care if needed such as applying tri-care to a small cut or applying thrush treatment if needed.
Blanketing and un-blanketing during the colder months
Driving the ATV out to dump muck in our muck pill at the end of the work shift
Other related barn duties as they arise and as time allows
